Desoutter Industrial Tools has incorporated the Nexonar positioning solution into its ecosystem. As a result, customers worldwide can now benefit from unparalleled accuracy and traceability in precision assembly. The new offering will also deliver significant process control improvements in productivity, quality, and safety.

External display provides a clear view of the assembly workstation

The assembly workstation leader Desoutter is adding a new generation of external displays to its Connect screwing data communications centre. The "Sight" screen visualises assembly processes and screwing results directly at the workplace. It also allows remote access to the Connect menu structure. During its development, particular attention was paid to a quick and smooth installation and set-up of the devices.

Brought to the (clamping) point

Hermos Schaltanlagen GmbH in Mistelgau works exclusively with Desoutter screwdrivers. With the ergonomic cordless screwdrivers in the Elit range, the employees can tighten the sensitive connections to the exact torque specified by the customer. The quality of the screw connections has increased since Elit screwdrivers have been used.

Maximum quality for the lowest torques

Whether it's the automotive industry or aviation, medical technology or microelectronics - the number of applications in which very low torques have to be controlled, monitored and documented is growing steadily. The Nano Driver ERXS with integrated transmitter from Desoutter is the tool of choice in these areas. A new range of static torque transducers now enables these electric screwdrivers to be tested inhouse as well.

Installation without reaction torque and no cables

Desoutter launched in September 2018 its first battery-powered impulse screwdriver on the market. Users can therefore carry out installations without reaction torque and with no hose or cable with high screw fitting quality and complete process control.

Implement efficient digitalized assembly

Desoutter has extended its cordless screwdrivers from the E-LIT range with WLAN-compatible models. The new tools can be integrated into the manufacturer's innovative process control solution known as PivotWare. This means that users now have a simple and efficient variant to integrate and include ancillary screw joints in the process and thus digitally record them.

Aircraft construction: The right set of parameters from the word go

Maintal, November 2018. Desoutter has developed a flexible and convertible cordless offset screwdriver that is designed for a wide range of assembly tasks in aircraft construction. The tool can be adapted to the respective assembly situation using various interchangeable heads. All components are equipped with transponders so that the correct set of parameters is always available in real time.
